Bolivian opposition leaders to meet in Cochabamba over political crisis

Opposition leaders Manfred Reyes Villa, Jorge Tuto Quiroga, and Samuel Doria Medina are scheduled to meet in Cochabamba to determine a unified stance regarding the political and economic crisis facing the government of Rodrigo Paz.

The summit aims to address the national scenario and the role of opposition blocs within the Legislative Assembly. Reyes Villa emphasized that any potential support for government initiatives should be based on national interest rather than political concessions, stating that support would not be conditioned on receiving ministerial positions or other public offices.

The meeting, which had been previously postponed due to the international travel and health reasons of Quiroga and Doria Medina, seeks to decide whether the opposition will support necessary national measures or maintain a confrontational stance against the current administration.
