Bolivian police seize 86kg of marijuana from São Paulo FC branded bus

Bolivian authorities intercepted a bus carrying 86.5 kilograms of marijuana in the Cochabamba region. The vehicle, operated by Buses Cosmos, featured the logo and visual identity of the Brazilian football club São Paulo FC.

The bus was contracted to provide logistics for the São Paulo delegation during their stay in Bolivia for a Copa Sudamericana match against Bolívar. However, the club stated it did not use the specific vehicle involved in the seizure and was not officially notified of the incident until it appeared in local media.

Three individuals, including two drivers and an assistant, were arrested and sent to prison on drug trafficking charges. Buses Cosmos issued a statement denying institutional responsibility, asserting that the illegal activity was the sole responsibility of the drivers. The club's travel schedule remained unaffected as an alternative bus was provided.
