Bologna entrepreneur Giovanni Favia reports political intimidation

Giovanni Favia, an entrepreneur and promoter of the ‘Uniti per Bologna’ civic list, reported receiving an anonymous and “rather violent” intimidating letter at his home in Bologna. The letter, which was hand-delivered to his building rather than sent via mail, concerns the ongoing electoral campaign. Favia has announced he will turn the material over to the Digos for investigation, stating he will not back down from his political position.

Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore expressed public solidarity with Favia and his family, noting that threats and intimidation have no place in political discourse. Matteo Di Benedetto, the Lega group leader in Bologna, also condemned the incident as unacceptable in a democracy and called for the perpetrators to be identified.
