Bolsa Família final 2026 payments and August payout schedule released

Brazil’s Bolsa Família programme enters the last five months of 2026, continuing as the country’s main cash‑transfer scheme for vulnerable households. To keep the benefit, families must stay registered in the Cadastro Único, have a monthly per‑person income of up to R$ 218, and meet health and education conditionalities, such as prenatal care, child vaccinations, nutritional monitoring and minimum school attendance. The basic benefit is R$ 600 per family, with possible increases based on family composition, and payments are handled by Caixa Econômica Federal through the Caixa Tem app or agency visits.

The federal government also published the August 2026 payment calendar. Bolsa Família deposits will be made between 18 and 29 August, staggered according to the final digit of each beneficiary’s NIS. Families whose income rose to up to R$ 706 per member will continue under a protection rule, receiving 50 % of the benefit for one year. The schedule also lists dates for other programmes such as Pé‑de‑Meia, Gás do Povo, INSS pensions and BPC/Loas, underscoring the importance of keeping CadÚnico information up to date.
