Overview

On 27 July 2026 Caixa Econômica Federal began the scheduled Bolsa Família disbursement for beneficiaries whose NIS ends in 6, with the NIS‑7 batch paid on 28 July. Payments for NIS digits 8, 9 and 0 were slated for the final days of the month. The payment calendar runs from 20 July through 31 July, assigning each final NIS digit a specific day. About 19.3 million families—roughly 49 million people—receive the programme, with a total federal outlay of around R$ 12.7 billion. The average July benefit is R$ 679.19, with a guaranteed minimum of R$ 600 per family. Supplements include R$ 150 per child up to six years, R$ 50 for pregnant women or children aged 7‑18, and six R$ 50 installments for mothers of infants up to six months.

A unified early payment was made on 20 July for 175 municipalities in six states (Amazonas, Paraíba, Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte, Roraima and Sergipe) that were under emergency or calamity status. The protection rule, in force since June 2023, allows families whose members gain employment to receive 50 % of the benefit for up to two years (or one year for new entrants). Since 2024 the programme no longer deducts the Seguro Defeso, following Law 14.601/2023. Beneficiaries can verify payment dates and details via the Caixa Tem app.
