Bolsa Família implements new R$ 691 minimum payment for October

The October payments for the Bolsa Família social program in Brazil will feature a new minimum value of R$ 691. This follows a 15.04% adjustment that also affects additional payments for children, adolescents, pregnant women, and nursing mothers.

Deposits, managed by Caixa Econômica Federal, will be distributed between October 19 and October 30, based on the final digit of the beneficiary's Social Identification Number (NIS). The payment schedule is as follows:

• NIS 1: October 19 • NIS 2: October 20 • NIS 3: October 21 • NIS 4: October 22 • NIS 5: October 23 • NIS 6: October 26 • NIS 7: October 27 • NIS 8: October 28 • NIS 9: October 29 • NIS 0: October 30

The R$ 691 amount serves as a guaranteed floor; total payments may exceed this value depending on the specific composition of the family and eligible installments. To qualify, families must be registered in the Cadastro Único with a monthly per capita income of up to R$ 218 and comply with health and education requirements.
