Bolt and Lucid partner to deploy 25,000 autonomous vehicles in Europe

Lucid Group and Bolt have announced a strategic partnership to deploy a large-scale fleet of autonomous electric vehicles across Europe. The collaboration aims to introduce at least 25,000 robotaxis to various European cities, serving as a milestone toward Bolt’s long-term goal of operating 100,000 autonomous vehicles by 2035.

The vehicles will be built on the upcoming Lucid Midsize platform and are being developed to achieve SAE Level 4 autonomy, allowing them to operate without human intervention within specific areas. The technical architecture will utilize NVIDIA Hyperion technology for sensing and computing.

Bolt plans to own, operate, and manage the entire fleet, including responsibilities for maintenance, charging, and dispatching. While the project targets significant scale, the exact timeline and specific cities for deployment remain subject to European regulatory approvals and local legislation.
