Italy launches multi-sector support for SMEs and fashion industry

Italy is implementing several initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through innovation, digitalization, and sector-specific funding.

The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has launched a 100 million euro incentive program for the fashion, textile, leather, and accessories supply chains. This measure, signed by Minister Adolfo Urso, aims to support development programs for SMEs, with a particular focus on manufacturing in Italy and the Mezzogiorno region. Additionally, the Veneto Region has announced a 10 million euro fund to revitalize urban commerce, targeting partnerships between shops, restaurants, and services within recognized commercial districts.

In the realm of technology and training, Unioncamere del Veneto has started an integrated program focused on Artificial Intelligence and sustainability for SMEs. Meanwhile, the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce is launching an autumn training program through WIFI to help businesses navigate digital transformation and evolving labor market challenges. In Sicily, academic initiatives are also being promoted to link university research with the sustainable development of protected areas like the Nebrodi mountains.
