Bomb threat emails trigger security lockdown across Patna government sites
Police in Patna, Bihar received bomb‑threat emails that mentioned the chief minister's residence, the state secretariat, four schools and a passport office in the Maner area. Security forces placed the targeted locations on high alert, evacuated the schools and passport office, and deployed bomb‑disposal units and dog squads to conduct thorough searches.
Investigators have not found any suspicious objects, and the emails are being treated as hoaxes. The messages referenced pro‑Khalistan slogans and named former Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Verma, but the sender remains unidentified and the authenticity of the threats is unverified. Authorities are tracing the email source and continuing heightened security measures.
