Italy is hosting a wide array of cultural, musical, and heritage events throughout October 2026.
The FAI (Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano) Autumn Days feature approximately 700 extraordinary locations across 350 cities, including Milan, Lombardy, and Sicily. This edition emphasizes ‘Made in Italy’ and traditional craftsmanship, offering access to previously closed historical sites, industrial archaeology, and artisan workshops.
Major festivals and gatherings include the 60th edition of Lucca Comics & Games, which features exhibitions at Palazzo Guinigi, and the Incontri del Cinema d’Essai in Lucca. Musical highlights include the Itinerari Musicali in Sardinia, featuring international stars like Valentina Lisitsa, and various concerts in Rimini and Squillace.
Regional traditions are also celebrated through events like the ‘Autunno in Barbagia’ in Tonara, focusing on local products like torrone, and the ‘Frantoi Aperti’ olive oil festival in Umbria. Other notable activities include the Book Pride festival in Genoa and various community-focused cultural programs in Brindisi, Rotonda, and Scigliano.
