Bonito, Brazil Hosts 4th Bonito CineSur South American Film Festival

The 4th edition of Bonito CineSur, a South American film festival, will take place in Bonito, Brazil from July 24 to August 1. The nine‑day event offers a free program of film screenings, debates, workshops and competitive showcases, linking cinema with ecotourism, culture, environment and regional development.

High‑profile participants include actor Reynaldo Gianecchini, who will host the opening ceremony, and Paulo Betti together with Valentina Herszage, who will lead the closing ceremony. Valentina Herszage appears in the Oscar‑winning film “Ainda Estou Aqui”. The festival will also feature Bruno Gagliasso’s national pre‑release of “Honestino”, documentary filmmaker João Moreira Salles and Chilean actress Paulina García, who receives an international tribute.

Organisers say the free access to a wide range of South American productions strengthens cultural tourism and promotes exchange among filmmakers and audiences across the continent.
