Bonito mobile orthopedic unit provides rehabilitation services

The Mobile Orthopedic Workshop (Oficina Ortopédica Itinerante) provided specialized rehabilitation services and assistive technology in Bonito between August 12 and 14. The initiative took place at the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER II Bonito).

During the three-day event, 27 patients underwent evaluations by specialists, resulting in the distribution of 57 items tailored to individual needs. The devices provided included wheelchairs, Canadian canes, bath wheelchairs, pediatric shell bath chairs, axillary crutches, and seat cushions.

The program served 75 patients in total, including residents of Bonito and those from surrounding municipalities. This mobile action aims to decentralize rehabilitation services, allowing patients to access essential mobility and autonomy tools without traveling to other cities.
