Mobile medical services in Bonito

Overview

The municipality of Bonito has implemented mobile health initiatives to expand access to specialized medical services and assistive technology.

In mid-August, a mobile orthopedic workshop provided rehabilitation services and distributed 57 items, such as wheelchairs and crutches, to 75 patients from Bonito and surrounding areas. This effort aimed to decentralize care and provide essential mobility tools.

Following this, the ‘Carreta da Saúde – Saúde Mais Perto de Você’ project was scheduled for early September. This initiative utilizes four mobile units with over 20 consultation rooms to offer twelve medical specialties, including urology, pediatrics, and cardiology, to prioritize patients on waiting lists and those referred through primary care.
