Bonito launches first instruction course for self-propelled vehicles

The city of Bonito has hosted its first instruction course for the operation of self-propelled vehicles. This training initiative focuses on individual micromobility, including electric bicycles and scooters.

Promoted by the State Transit Council of Mato Grosso do Sul (CETRAN-MS) in partnership with the Bonito City Hall through the Municipal Transit Department (DEMTRAT), the program aims to improve road safety and guide users on the proper use of these vehicles. The training is part of the ‘Micromobility with Safety’ project, which combines regulation, guidance, and traffic education.

The initiative follows the publication of Decree No. 47/2026, which establishes rules for circulation, municipal registration, and safety requirements for electric bicycles and other self-propelled devices. These measures are intended to organize urban mobility and ensure safer coexistence between users, pedestrians, and other drivers in a city that hosts thousands of visitors annually.
