BoomBoys advance to The International 2026 playoffs

BoomBoys have advanced to the playoffs of The International 2026 after a 2-0 sweep against Aurora Gaming in the Elimination Round. The victory places BoomBoys among the final eight teams, joining top seeds such as TEAM VISION, Nigma Galaxy, Team Liquid, and Team Falcons.

Despite being considered favorites to win the tournament, TEAM VISION remains the team to beat after an undefeated Group Stage run. However, BoomBoys' support player Vladislav “Kataomi” Semenov expressed confidence that the favorites are beatable, noting that TEAM VISION has dropped games to teams like Resilience and Team Spirit.

BoomBoys enter the playoffs following a highly consistent season, which included a victory at PGL Wallachia Season 8 and a second-place finish at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup. Aurora Gaming's elimination results in a 9th–13th place finish.
