Overview

The International 2026, the 15th edition of the premier Dota 2 global esports tournament, concluded on August 23 in Shanghai. Organized by Valve Corporation and supported by Perfect World Co., Ltd., the event featured 16 elite teams and integrated traditional Chinese culture into its visual identity, including a Suzhou embroidery version of the Aegis of Champions.

Team Spirit secured the championship by defeating top-seeded TEAM VISION 3-2 in a closely contested grand final at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center. This victory makes Team Spirit the first organization in the tournament's history to achieve three titles. Players Illya ‘Yatoro’ Mulyarchuk and Magomed ‘Collapse’ Khalilov became the first individuals to secure three TI titles, following their previous wins in 2021 and 2023. Coach Yaroslav ‘Miposhka’ Naidenov also achieved his third title, marking his first victory in a coaching role. Mid laner Denis ‘Larl’ Sigit earned his second title, while Alexey ‘not me’ Kosmynin and Aleksandr ‘rue’ Filin secured their first Aegis of Champions.

Team Spirit claimed US$1.4 million from the total prize pool of approximately US$3.35 million. The tournament also saw the retirement of veteran player Sumail following Nigma Galaxy’s elimination. Following the event, the professional scene has entered a roster shuffle period; Virtus.pro announced the disbandment of its active roster on August 24, and Vici Gaming disbanded its roster after failing to reach the TI 2026 Main Stage.
