Adamawa: Troops neutralize 21 terrorists and destroy Boko Haram camp
Nigerian security forces, comprising Operation HADIN KAI and a tactical team from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), conducted a precision strike on a Boko Haram/ISWAP camp in Adamawa State. The operation took place in the early hours of August 27, 2026, in the Kopre Mountain area of Hong Local Government Area.
During two separate encounters in the rugged terrain, troops neutralized more than 21 terrorists, while several others escaped with gunshot wounds. The military dismantled the terrorist camp and destroyed its logistics infrastructure, including motorcycles, bicycles, and containers of fuel.
Troops also recovered several AK-47 rifles, magazines, and a substantial quantity of 7.62mm special ammunition. The mission was part of ongoing efforts to locate and rescue individuals abducted from the Mussa community in May and schoolchildren kidnapped from Lassa in June.
