Bornova Municipality completes LEGO creativity workshop

The Bornova Municipality has successfully completed the ‘6 Bricks from Dream to Design’ LEGO workshop, a four-week initiative held in collaboration with the Mevlana Community Science Center and NE-DER. The project aimed to foster creativity and essential 21st-century skills in children through a specific pedagogical approach.

During the workshop, participants were provided with only six colored LEGO bricks each. Despite this limitation, children used weekly themes and tasks to construct a wide variety of unique structures, vehicles, and figures. The program focused on developing critical skills such as problem-solving, concentration, attention, communication, and collaboration.

In addition to construction, the workshop included presentation sessions where children shared the stories behind their models, helping to strengthen their communication abilities. The event concluded at the Mevlana Community Science Center, showcasing the diverse designs created by the participants.
