Bosnia and Herzegovina heritage brick initiative

Overview

The Federal Ministry of Education and Science of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in collaboration with the MUNJA Social Innovation Incubator and the STAR.study platform, has introduced the ‘Bosnia and Herzegovina in Bricks’ initiative. This project seeks to represent the nation’s cultural and architectural heritage using models inspired by the LEGO Architecture concept.

Scheduled for official presentation on September 3, 2026, at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, the initiative includes a public call for young designers to create models of landmarks such as the Stari Most in Mostar or the Sarajevo City Hall. Selected innovators will receive technical support and mentorship, with prizes totaling 8,000 KM. The ultimate objective is to advance a winning concept through official LEGO platforms to promote the country’s heritage internationally.
