Trabzon municipality intensifies Uzungöl tourism inspections

The Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality’s Zabıta (municipal police) Department has stepped up inspections at the popular tourism hub of Uzungöl for the peak season. Inspectors are checking each business for licence compliance, price listings, hygiene standards, illegal occupation of public space and consumer‑rights violations. The effort is overseen by the municipality’s General Secretary Assistant Hasan Selim, who stressed the aim of “high visitor satisfaction” and the need to protect the area’s reputation. The municipality announced that these checks will continue throughout the tourism season to ensure safe, healthy and quality services for both domestic and foreign guests.

The inspections also involve informing merchants of legal requirements and prompting corrective actions where needed, reinforcing the city’s commitment to maintain Uzungöl’s brand value and public safety.
