Borussia Dortmund integrates new Greek talents amid transfer tension
Borussia Dortmund has bolstered its squad with two highly-rated Greek talents, Giannis Konstantelias and Konstantinos Karetsas. The arrivals have brought both sporting anticipation and off-field tension.
Konstantinos Karetsas, an 18-year-old attacking midfielder signed from KRC Genk for approximately €30 million, recently made the decision to represent the Greek national team over Belgium, his country of birth. Karetsas has shown significant promise in Belgium, debuting in the second division at age 15.
Meanwhile, the transfer of Giannis Konstantelias has sparked backlash from PAOK Thessaloniki ultras. Supporters of the Greek club have expressed anger and called for the resignation of club management following his move to Dortmund. Despite the friction, both players are expected to play key roles as Dortmund prepares for their Bundesliga season opener against HSV.
