Borussia Dortmund management praises Ole Book's transfer strategy

Borussia Dortmund management has expressed satisfaction with the club's recent transfer activity under new sporting director Ole Book. Managing Director Lars Ricken praised Book's approach, noting that all signings were made with conviction rather than out of mere activism, emphasizing that players were selected based on careful observation and a genuine desire to join the club.

Key summer acquisitions include Kauã Prates, Joane Gadou, Konstantinos Karetsas, Joey Veerman, and Giannis Konstantelias. Following a season-ending injury to Konstantelias, the club secured Ethan Nwaneri on deadline day.

Under the leadership of Book and coach Niko Kovac, the club is focusing on addressing previous weaknesses, particularly in the defensive line and central midfield. The addition of Joey Veerman is intended to complement Felix Nmecha's physicality with creative playmaking, while young defender Joane Gadou is expected to develop alongside Nico Schlotterbeck.
