Borussia Dortmund targets multiple young talents for squad development

Borussia Dortmund is actively monitoring several young talents to strengthen its squad. The club is reportedly interested in Cruzeiro goalkeeper Otavio, a 20-year-old Brazilian who has attracted interest from clubs including Napoli, Porto, Tottenham, and Nottingham Forest. While Dortmund is satisfied with current goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, Otavio is viewed as a potential option, though his €100 million release clause remains a significant factor.

In the attacking department, Dortmund is competing with Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig for Sporting CP's 19-year-old Flavio Goncalves. The Portuguese U21 international has impressed scouts with recent performances, though no official offers have been made yet.

Additionally, the club is focusing on internal development with 17-year-old American Mathis Albert. Having already become the youngest American to debut in the Bundesliga, Albert has received praise from squad planner Ole Book for his potential. While he has not yet played a major role under current coaching, the club intends to integrate him into the first team more frequently.
