Borussia Dortmund concluded its pre‑season tour of Japan with a 1‑0 victory over J1 League side FC Tokyo at the National Stadium in Tokyo. The only goal came in the 54th minute when Portuguese striker Fábio Silva curled a shot into the far post.

The match was interrupted twice by severe weather. A heavy downpour and thunderstorm forced a 20‑minute stoppage early in the first half, and later a fireworks display from a nearby baseball stadium added to the noise. Despite the conditions, Dortmund kept control of possession and secured the win.

Mid‑fielder Carney Chukwuemeka suffered a knee injury after eight minutes and was substituted, prompting concerns about his fitness ahead of the new season. Coach Niko Kovač praised the team's performance but noted the need to monitor Chukwuemeka’s recovery. Dortmund will next face Arsenal in London as part of its final pre‑season preparations.
