Bose launches redesigned QuietComfort headphones

Bose has unveiled the second generation of its QuietComfort headphones, featuring an updated design and enhanced active noise cancellation. The new model introduces TrueSpatial Technology, which offers three immersive audio modes: Still, Motion, and Cinema. These modes are designed to provide a virtualized stereo experience or a theater-like soundstage depending on user movement and content.

Technical improvements include a six-microphone system designed to better maintain a seal for users wearing glasses or hats, and an enhanced ActiveSense response to manage sudden noise spikes. The headphones also support lossless playback via a wired USB-C connection up to 24-bit/48 kHz. The product is scheduled for release on August 13 at a price of $549.95.

Separately, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are currently available at a discount on Amazon. The earbuds, priced at $249, feature CustomTune technology to adjust sound based on ear shape and ActiveSense technology for noise management. They offer up to six hours of battery life in standard modes and include a wireless charging case.
