Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia launch new youth financial aid programs

The Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Return of Tuzla Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina approved 200,000 KM in non‑repayable scholarships for secondary school pupils and university students from returnee communities. Forty‑eight contracts were signed, with 100,000 KM allocated to each group, and the programme is set for the 2026 calendar year.

In Croatia, the government adopted a rural‑housing support scheme worth €1 million to help young families, especially young farmers, purchase, build or renovate homes in villages with fewer than 6,000 residents. The measure aims to stimulate demographic renewal and encourage settlement outside major cities, with full financing for eligible young farmers and proportionally reduced aid for other applicants.

Both initiatives target youth and aim to strengthen regional development through direct financial assistance.
