Youth support and institutional development in the Balkans

Overview

These groups aim to transform individual experiences regarding violence against women into “systemic solutions” by connecting state resources with civil society expertise to focus on prevention. Furthering this focus on victim support, the organization Ženska soba has launched a three-year program, ‘Improving the support system for parents whose children are victims of sexual abuse and exploitation’. Supported by the Ministry and developed with Hrabri telefon and the ‘Duga – Zagreb’ home, the program addresses the lack of clear legal and procedural information for parents.
