Bosnia and Herzegovina traffic faces delays from roadworks and border queues

Traffic in Bosnia and Herzegovina is experiencing significant disruptions due to extensive roadworks and seasonal congestion. Major delays and long queues are reported at border crossings including Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, and Hum, while the Deleuša crossing is seeing increased traffic entering the country.

On the highway network, the A-1 motorway is affected by several construction projects. Specifically, the Golubinja-Nemila section is closed, and the Lašva-Kakanj section is undergoing road repairs, forcing two-way traffic onto the opposite side of the highway. Additionally, a new 7-kilometer section of the Koridor Vc motorway between Doboj Jug and Medakovo has opened; this stretch will be free of tolls until September 2, 2026.

In Republika Srpska, drivers are warned of potential landslides in mountainous areas. Various regional and main roads are also facing altered traffic regimes due to bridge reconstruction, lighting installation, and the construction of additional lanes, such as the works on the Podromanija-Sumbulovac route. BIHAMK advises motorists to plan trips carefully and respect all temporary signage.
