Bosnia and Herzegovina road traffic facing closures and fog
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, motorists are facing significant travel disruptions due to a combination of adverse weather and extensive roadworks. Fog in valleys and riverbeds is reducing visibility, and authorities have warned of potential landslides in higher elevations.
Several key sections of the A-1 motorway are affected. The Golubinja-Nemila section is closed, with traffic diverted to the M-17 road, while the Kakanj-Lašva section is closed to all vehicles, forcing traffic to use the opposite side of the motorway. Additionally, works on the Sarajevo West-Lepenica section have moved traffic into the overtaking lane.
Other regional roadworks include bridge expansion near Brčko-Bijeljina, affecting vehicles over 3.5 tons, and various maintenance projects on major roads in Jajce, Bugojno, and Mostar. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and adapt to changing road conditions.
