Border crossings see heavy congestion due to holiday season
Increased traffic and congestion are reported at several border crossings between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia due to the ongoing holiday season. Significant delays are noted at the Velika Kladuša and Izačić exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as at the Zupci entry point. While some crossings like Brod-Slavonski Brod and Gradiška–Gornji Varoš show no queues exiting Bosnia, there are long waits for vehicles entering Croatia.
Roadworks are causing additional disruptions across the region. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is suspended or slowed on several routes, including the Jajce–Crna Rijeka road at Podmilačje, the A-1 motorway section between Golubinja and Nemila, and the Lašva-Kakanj section. Some roads, such as Tuzla-Bijeljina and Jablanica-Blidinje, are restricted to vehicles under 3.5 tons.
In Croatia, the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) warns of increased traffic heading toward the coast, particularly on motorways. Drivers are advised to exercise caution due to wet and slippery road surfaces in certain areas.
