Balkan regions report roadworks, protests, and traffic disruptions

Various regions in the Balkans are experiencing significant traffic disruptions and social unrest. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, extensive roadworks on the A-1 motorway, particularly between Kakanj and Lašva, have forced traffic to be redirected to the opposite side of the highway. Other major disruptions include construction on the Nemila-Vranduk section and various regional roads near Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Mostar. Drivers are advised to expect delays and use alternative routes.

In Sarajevo, traffic will be temporarily suspended in several streets in Alipašino Polje from September 5 to September 6 to accommodate the Red Bull Soapbox Race. Additionally, a new tram line to Hrasnica, numbered 11 in honor of footballer Edin Džeko, is undergoing final testing.

In Montenegro, former workers of the Primorka company in Bar have announced daily one-hour blockades of the main road in Šušanj starting September 5. They are protesting unresolved labor issues and claim police have threatened them with arrest.

In Croatia, motorists face delays on the A3 motorway near Zagreb due to works on the Zagreb bypass, and nighttime closures are scheduled on the A1 motorway between Šibenik and Danilo.
