Bosnia bans import of Chinese 'Dumpling Squishy' toys

The Federal Inspection Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina prohibited the entry of a shipment containing about 7,200 "Dumpling Squishy" children's toys from China at the Sarajevo Airport border crossing. Inspectors found the consignment lacked the required declaration of the manufacturer’s name and address, the importer’s details, and a certified health‑safety document, violating Articles 6 and 8 of the national laws governing the health suitability of food and consumer products.

The ban mandates that the controlled shipment be returned to the sender or destroyed if return is not possible. The authority also issued warnings to all border crossing points within the sector and to the Republika Srpska Inspectorate to prevent further attempts to import the non‑compliant toys.
