The Memorial Center in Srebrenica released its annual report on genocide denial and dehumanisation of Bosniaks. The report documents a rise from 99 cases in 2025 to 149 cases in 2026. The most common forms remain active denial and relativisation, while support for convicted war criminals has also increased.

Serbian media were identified as the most prolific deniers. The tabloid Informer published 24 instances of denial, Politika seven times and Alo six times. Political figures also featured prominently; Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD, and Branimir Kojić, head of the Organization of Families of Captured and Killed Fighters from Srebrenica, each recorded ten public statements denying the genocide. Other outlets cited include the agency Srna and the public broadcaster RTRS.

The report’s coordinator, Edin Ikanović, said the data will be added to a permanent archive of public statements about Srebrenica to aid researchers, journalists and the wider public.
