Bosnia leaders honor war‑time victims and seek UK support for genocide remembrance

Presidential member Denis Bećirović attended the 34th anniversary of the Bikavac "live pit" massacre in Višegrad, where more than 70 Bosniak civilians were burned. He stressed that preserving the culture of memory is a moral duty and called for continuous pursuit of truth, justice and accountability, noting that many suspects have avoided prosecution.

Minister Camil Duraković visited the United Kingdom to raise awareness of the Srebrenica genocide and the situation of Bosniak returnees in the Republika Srpska. He urged British allies to keep the genocide on the international agenda, protect human‑rights, and uphold the Dayton Agreement, emphasizing the need for continued solidarity and support for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
