Ten Srebrenica victims buried in Potočari; search continues for 950 missing

A collective funeral was held at the Memorial Center in Potočari, Bosnia and Herzegovina, for ten victims of the July 1995 Srebrenica genocide. The bodies, exhumed over the years, were identified and interred with their families, friends and survivors, while the chief imam of Bosnia’s Islamic Community visited the graves beforehand.

The Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina reports that the search for the remains of roughly 950 other victims is still ongoing, leaving many families without closure. The ceremony highlighted both the progress made in locating some victims and the continuing uncertainty for countless others.
