Botafogo threatens legal action against Grêmio CEO over social media insults

Leitão posted on Instagram that football is 'cruel' and claimed Grêmio was 'robbed' after a goal by Carlos Vinícius was disallowed due to semi-automated offside technology. In his post, he referred to Botafogo as a 'team of crooks'.
In an official statement, Botafogo CEO Eduardo Iglesias condemned the remarks, describing them as 'absurd' and characterizing Leitão as a professional of 'low level' with a history of disrespectful conduct. Botafogo stated they will pursue all necessary legal measures to hold the executive accountable.
