Botucatu hosts mobile unit for women victims of violence
The Government of the State of São Paulo has launched the ‘Circuito Integrado SP Por Todas’ in Botucatu, providing free assistance to women victims of domestic, family, or sexual violence. Running from October 13 to 16, the mobile unit is located at Praça Professor Martinho Nogueira and offers psychosocial support, legal guidance, risk assessment, and assistance with police reports and protective orders.
To ensure long-term support, a Municipal Pact is being signed between the state government and the Botucatu City Hall. This agreement aims to integrate state and municipal services, maintaining care for victims even after the mobile unit departs. The initiative involves multiple agencies, including the Secretariat for Women's Policies, the Public Security Secretariat, the Public Defender's Office, and the Judiciary.
