Boumerdès, Algeria bus crash kills at least 25

A passenger bus left the road and fell into a ravine near El Kerma in Boumerdès Province, Algeria, on the morning of 31 July 2026. The accident resulted in at least 25 deaths and dozens of injuries; official figures varied, with one report citing 11 dead and 38 injured and another citing 25 dead and 44 injured. Ambulance and rescue crews were dispatched to the site, and the injured were taken to hospitals in the region.
