Bowling Green women's soccer wins season opener 2-0

The Bowling Green State University women’s soccer team secured a 2-0 victory against Robert Morris University in their season opener at Cochrane Stadium on August 16.

Isabella Mazzaferro scored the opening goal in the 75th minute, finishing a cross from junior midfielder Alexis Tsaprailis. Tsaprailis, making her first appearance after missing 16 games last season due to a torn ACL, recorded an assist while wearing a protective leg brace. Taylor Green doubled the lead late in the match by heading in a corner kick from Emme Butera.

Goalkeeper Lexi Grundler earned a clean sheet in her collegiate debut with three saves. The win marks the Falcons' third consecutive regular-season opener victory.
