BP Tapera accelerates subsidized housing financing in Indonesia
BP Tapera, in coordination with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas, banking institutions, and developers, is strengthening strategies to accelerate subsidized housing through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme. This initiative aims to support the national target of 3 million houses and specifically seeks to reach a 2026 goal of 350,000 subsidized units.
As of late October 2026, FLPP distribution reached approximately 185,333 units with a total financing value of Rp23.09 trillion, representing roughly 53 to 64 percent of the 2026 target depending on the inclusion of pending debtor processes. The program is currently supported by 43 distributing banks, 22 developer associations, and 8,287 developers across 36 provinces.
To expedite progress, the government is encouraging greater involvement from private banks and regional development banks (BPD). BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho stated that technical and administrative hurdles are being addressed through enhanced data validation and dedicated task forces to ensure smoother financing for low-income communities.
