BP Tapera reports 50.62% achievement of subsidized housing target

As of October 9, 2026, the distribution of subsidized mortgages through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) has reached 177,161 units. This represents 50.62% of the annual target of 350,000 units. The distribution consists of 177,140 landed houses and 21 apartment units.

During an evaluation meeting led by Housing and Settlement Areas Minister Maruarar Sirait, BP Tapera officials noted a potential demand of 39,155 units against a potential supply of 27,443 units. To accelerate progress toward the year-end goal, BP Tapera plans to expand marketing efforts through socialization, regional targeting, and the establishment of information booths at government agencies, private companies, and universities.

Stakeholders identified several challenges, including the need for better basic infrastructure such as electricity and water at housing sites. Developers have also suggested strengthening both direct and digital marketing strategies to reach more potential debtors.
