BPDP supports plantation MSMEs in entering global digital markets
The Indonesian Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) is accelerating the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) based on plantation commodities to increase competitiveness in the global digital market.
Through the “Podcast Bincang UMKM Perkebunan” event held in Jakarta, BPDP highlighted strategies for brand building and digital market penetration. Key discussion points included the importance of raw material supply readiness, consistent product quality, competitive pricing, and the ability to communicate brand stories to build buyer trust in e-commerce ecosystems.
The initiative also features the “Plantationpreneurs Festival 2026,” a strategic collaboration aimed at fostering new innovators within the sector. Success stories, such as the development of high-value palm oil leaf products by CV Surya Agro Nusantara, were used to illustrate the potential of plantation-based derivative products.
