BPJS Kesehatan advises JKN participants on medical control letters and facility changes

BPJS Kesehatan has issued guidance to National Health Insurance (JKN) participants regarding administrative procedures and service continuity. In Jakarta, officials emphasized that participants must ensure they receive a formal doctor's control letter before leaving a hospital polyclinic. This measure is intended to prevent patients from losing their service quota due to manual scheduling errors or specialist availability limits.

In Jember, BPJS Kesehatan clarified that changes to First-Level Health Facilities (FKTP) will not disrupt patient access. The agency noted that partnerships with health facilities are contingent upon valid operational permits. If a facility's cooperation ends due to licensing issues, BPJS Kesehatan will transition participants to other qualified facilities to ensure uninterrupted medical services.
