BPJS Kesehatan expands JKN program access and education in Indonesia

BPJS Kesehatan is implementing strategic measures to ensure National Health Insurance (JKN) access in remote Indonesian regions. In South Nias, officials from BPJS Kesehatan, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Finance are evaluating the compensation policy for areas where health facilities do not yet meet required standards (DBTFMS). This initiative aims to provide equitable, high-quality medical services to residents in isolated island communities facing geographic and transportation challenges.

Simultaneously, BPJS Kesehatan is conducting educational outreach to university students in Central Sulawesi. Through socialization programs at Madako Tolitoli University, the agency is educating the younger generation on JKN membership rights, obligations, and digital services such as the Mobile JKN application. These efforts focus on increasing awareness of health insurance sustainability and the importance of maintaining active membership to ensure continuous access to medical care.
