BPS honors BSSN, Kemendagri, and UNIPDU at National Statistics Day

During the 2026 National Statistics Day awards in Jakarta, several Indonesian institutions received recognition from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for their contributions to data utilization and literacy.

The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) was honored for its role in supporting national data sovereignty. BSSN Head Nugroho Sulistyo Budi emphasized that government digitalization must be supported by robust cybersecurity to achieve the ‘Government Incorporated’ concept directed by President Prabowo Subianto.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) received an award for optimizing statistical data to guide regional development, specifically in monitoring inflation and commodity prices. Minister Tito Karnavian noted that the administration relies on BPS data to implement data-driven policies.

In the academic sector, Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum (UNIPDU) Jombang earned two national awards: second place in the ‘Pojok Statistik’ (Statistical Corner) category and second place in the Infographics category, highlighting the university’s efforts to improve statistical literacy among students.
