Indonesian institutional and leadership awards

In late September 2026, several Indonesian institutions and organizations received recognition through various award ceremonies.

The Prominent Awards 2026, held in Jakarta under the theme ‘Indonesia Berdaya’, honored 33 recipients for their contributions to the national economy and society. Among the awardees was PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), which was recognized for ‘Excellence in High-Impact Infrastructure Delivery’ due to projects such as the construction of 18 ‘Sekolah Rakyat’ (People’s Schools).

During the 2026 National Statistics Day celebrations, the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) presented awards for statistical literacy and data utilization. The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) was honored for using statistical data to guide regional development and monitor inflation. Minister Tito Karnavian noted that the administration relies on BPS data to implement data-driven policies.

Additional honors during the National Statistics Day included the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), which was recognized for supporting national data sovereignty. BSSN Head Nugroho Sulistyo Budi stated that government digitalization requires robust cybersecurity to achieve the ‘Government Incorporated’ concept directed by President Prabowo Subianto. In the academic sector, Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum (Unipdu) Jombang received national honors, earning second place in both the ‘Pojok Statistik’ (Statistics Corner) and the Infographics categories.
