Bradesco and American Express eye new premium credit card for Brazil's high‑income clients

Brazil’s high‑income credit‑card market shows a gap between Bradesco’s The Platinum Card and the ultra‑exclusive The Centurion Card. Industry analysts suggest that the existing partnership between Bradesco and American Express could produce an intermediate product, offering 3.5‑4.5 points per dollar domestically, up to five abroad, broader lounge access and a concierge service, with an annual fee estimated between R$ 4,000 and R$ 10,000.

The proposed card would sit above the Platinum tier and below the Centurion, targeting customers who have outgrown the Platinum benefits but do not meet the Centurion’s steep spending thresholds. If launched, it could reposition American Express in Brazil and help Bradesco retain affluent clients amid aggressive premium offerings from competitors such as Itaú, Santander, C6 Bank and Elo. The analysis is editorial speculation supported by market trends, not an official announcement.
