Bradesco reports R$ 7.1 billion third-quarter profit
Banco Bradesco reported a recurring net profit of R$ 7.1 billion for the third quarter of 2026, representing a 14.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The results met market expectations despite challenges in the macroeconomic environment.
While the bank achieved its eleventh consecutive quarter of recurring profit growth, analysts noted rising concerns regarding asset quality. The delinquency rate for loans overdue by more than 90 days rose to 4.6%, up from 4.1% a year earlier. Consequently, provisions for loan losses increased by 24.3% year-over-year to R$ 10.6 billion.
CEO Marcelo Noronha stated that while the financial system faces pressure from rising delinquency rates, Bradesco’s portfolio remains more controlled than the broader market due to a safer credit mix. The bank’s total credit portfolio reached R$ 1.15 trillion, an 11.1% annual increase. Additionally, the Bradesco Seguros division contributed R$ 2.9 billion to the quarterly profit, a 14.1% increase over the previous year.
