Bradesco Q3 2026 financial performance

Overview

Leading up to its third-quarter 2026 earnings release, market analysts focused on Banco Bradesco’s ability to maintain revenue expansion and credit quality. Expectations centered on an adjusted net profit of approximately R$ 7.145 billion and a potential short-term impact on return on equity (ROE) due to a recent R$ 10 billion capital increase intended for technology and business expansion.

Upon reporting its results, Bradesco confirmed a recurring net profit of R$ 7.1 billion, representing a 14.6% annual increase. This achievement marked the bank’s eleventh consecutive quarter of recurring profit growth. While the bank’s total credit portfolio grew to R$ 1.15 trillion, representing an 11.1% annual increase, the results highlighted rising credit risks. The delinquency rate for loans overdue by more than 90 days increased to 4.6% from 4.1% the previous year. To account for these risks, provisions for expected losses rose by 24.3% year-over-year to R$ 10.6 billion.

CEO Marcelo Noronha noted that the bank could have achieved a profit between R$ 400 million and R$ 500 million higher if interest rates were below 10%. He stated that while the financial system faces pressure from rising delinquency rates, Bradesco’s portfolio remains “more controlled than the broader market due to a safer credit mix.” The bank’s growth was supported by non-credit revenues and strict cost controls, with the Bradesco Seguros division contributing R$ 2.9 billion to the quarterly profit, a 14.1% increase over the previous year.
