Brady Tkachuk trade sparks reactions from Senators alumni and teammates

Following the trade of Brady Tkachuk from the Ottawa Senators to the Florida Panthers, reactions have emerged from former players and current teammates regarding his impact and future role.

Former Senators player and franchise legend Chris Neil expressed doubt regarding Tkachuk’s playing time in Florida. Speaking on the ‘Coming In Hot’ podcast, Neil suggested that due to the depth of the Panthers' roster, Tkachuk might not secure a spot in the top six forwards and could instead find himself in a top-nine role.

In Ottawa, current forward Tim Stützle expressed that the trade was a shock. Stützle, who spent six seasons as Tkachuk’s teammate and close friend, noted that replacing the former captain’s leadership will be difficult.
